Ford has unveiled a new sports car to compete with the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class luxury crossover, and it is also expected to compete in the upcoming Le Mans 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Focus RS, a crossover between the Ford Fusion and the Ford Escape, is expected to be introduced at the end of 2017.
It is a “rear-wheel drive” sports car that can be purchased as a single vehicle, or as a combination with the two SUVs, the Fusion and Escape.
It will feature the same V6 turbocharged petrol engine as the Ford GT and Ford Mustang, but with a range of up to 100 kilometres (62 miles).
The Focus is expected sell for about $130,000, with the price depending on the model and trim level.
The crossover is expected with a base price of $60,000.
The ATS is a mid-sized sports car similar to the Mercedes GLC, which launched last year.
It comes with an all-wheel-drive system, which is designed to help the vehicle’s suspension, while also reducing the vehicle to a zero-to-60 time of 3.7 seconds.
The first ATS crossover is scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show next year.
