The PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 title “Super Smash Brothers” will arrive as a GT Daytona game, according to Sony Computer Entertainment America.
The game will also be playable on the PlayStation®3 and PlayStation™4 consoles.
“We’re really excited to be bringing this exciting title to GTD fans,” said Adam G. Levine, vice president of marketing and digital content for Sony Computer Products, Inc. “Our partnership with Fox Sports LIVE has been a tremendous success, and we’re thrilled to be continuing the partnership with Gran Turisport.”
The game is set in the classic Gran Turism world, featuring Mario and Luigi as players.
Players can compete in up to four online tournaments each day.
The “Super Super Smash Bros.” game will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation® 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and Windows PC.
It will cost $39.99 and is available to preorder now.
The PlayStation brand will continue to be used in the game and in its future products.
In addition, PlayStation Plus members will receive a free digital copy of the game when they sign up for the service.
The new “Super” title will be the fifth Gran Turizar title to make its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360, according the game’s developer, Gran Turisms Studio, which was founded by former “Super Mario” series producer Yoshinori Kitase.
The Gran Turists Studio is also working on a new series of Gran Turistas, which will feature a “SuperMario”-themed cast of characters and a story that will take place in an alternate version of the fictional town of “Odysseus.”
