Australian racing team Subaru will compete at the 2018 Formula 1 World Championship in Melbourne in 2019.
A spokesman for the Australian Automobile Association said it was “an honour to partner with the FIA to host the 2019 Formula 1 WORLD Championship”.
“We look forward to working with the team to build on the successes we have enjoyed over the last six seasons,” he said.
The Aussie squad will be joined by the Mercedes-Benz F1 Team, Audi AMG and Ferrari, with all drivers from the two teams attending.
The FIA World Championship will see drivers compete against each other at each circuit on two separate weekends, with drivers having their cars switched on in the morning and switching back off in the afternoon.
A number of F1 drivers will also be in attendance, with the likes of Nico Hulkenberg and Max Verstappen also taking part.
The race is expected to be the first time F1 has hosted the Australian event since 2012.
