A handful of NFL teams have announced that they are planning to play outdoor soccer games indoors.
The Seattle Seahawks, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Pittsburgh Steelers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles are among the teams that announced plans to play outdoors.
All told, 21 NFL teams are expected to have outdoor games in the near future.
This list does not include the Carolina Panthers, which played outdoor soccer at home last season.
However, the Panthers have not announced any outdoor soccer schedule in the meantime.
The NFL has not yet announced whether the 2019 season will be played indoors, though some teams have said they would be open to playing indoor if that is what the league deems best for the league’s fan base.
The New England Patriots announced a preseason schedule that will see them play indoors, with New England hosting the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles playing each other.
Other teams that are planning outdoor games include the Buffalo Bills, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Colts, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets.
The Miami Dolphins will play indoor soccer in 2019 as well, with Miami hosting the Tampa Bay Rowdies and the San Francisco 49ers playing each another.
The Philadelphia Eagles have announced plans for a summer home schedule that is expected to see them host the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas St. Rams, Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Vikings playing each others home games.
The San Francisco Giants have also announced plans, saying that they will play their home games at Stanford University, with the Giants hosting the Oakland Raiders and the 49ers hosting the Seattle Seahawks.
